The Department of Geology in GDC Dhaliara is a new initiative by the efforts of Dept. of Higher Education of the state and worthy Principal. The subject has been introduced in the college during session 2018-19. Initially total sixty seats are allotted for the subject for both medical and non-medical students. But in session 2020 onwards only non-medical students are enrolled for the subject as per university guidelines. The deptt. of Geology has three years’ undergraduate credit course as the subject is of great importance for all infrastructural civil engineering works, rock specification, paleontology of earth, oil mineral explorations, general mapping and all the geomorphologic feature on earth surface. The department has well equipped lab with all the practical parameters.
