N.S.S. Activities

One NSS unit of 100 volunteers has been functioning in the college under the dynamic leadership of Programme Officers. NSS unit of this college remaines busy in the service of humankind. Orientation of students for community services and inculcation of leadership qualities among volunteers remaines high on agenda of our NSS unit. We invite Many eminent personalities from all walks of life and volunteers get benefite from their blessings and thoughts on various socio-economic and ethical issues. A special 7 days camp is organised every year with full enthusiasm and cohesiveness by the volunteers and the local people. Every year many Government Departments are associated with our activities, viz., Himachal Pradesh Backward Classes and Development Corporation by introducing the students with all the schemes run for OBC welfare, Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs through a lecture on consumer awareness, Department of Panchayati Raj through the Pradhan & Up-pradhan and with the technical assistant of the local Panchayat, Department of Industries by delivering a lecture on self employment and removal of vicious poverty in India etc. Along with these activities the NSS unit also undertakes many physical activities every year. The main activities were the adoption of Muchkund Mahadev Mandir and Surajpur Shiv Mandir at Dhaliara village for maintenance purpose, many activities of sanitation and campus beautification, repair works of pedal path and widening and plaining of play ground on which this function is being organised.
