Government College Dhaliara — Department of Journalism & Mass Communication
The subject Journalism is not an old or traditional subject for the State of Himachjal Pradesh, initially it was introduced in the year 2010 in some selected Colleges located on the District Headquarters and in some big cities on trial bases, after that during the year 2012 the state govt. decided to give a start in some rural Colleges and sanction some posts in rural Colleges and GC Dhaliara was one of them.
In the initial years upto 2015 the post of the Teacher was lying vacant in this College and during the year 2015 an Assistant Professor was appointed in the month of July who joined in the month of August. Due to the closing of the admissions no student was enrolled in the subject.
